Leh Mountains & Hills Tour — 3N / 4D
Package ID: TG-CITY-001517
Mountains & Hills · Ladakh · High-altitude town — A hills-and-mountains holiday in Leh — scenic drives, viewpoints and cool mountain air, at a gentle pace. Leh sits at about 3,500 metres and altitude is the single thing that determines whether a Ladakh trip works. Flying in from Delhi takes you from near sea level to 3,500 metres in eighty minutes, and the first twenty-four hours must be spent doing nothing at all — no sightseeing, no exertion, plenty of water. Itineraries that put a monastery tour on day one are selling you a headache at best and acute mountain sickness at worst. Beyond that, the town is a good base: monasteries at Thiksey and Hemis, the Indus valley, and the road to Nubra and Pangong. Four to five nights minimum, and anything shorter is not really a Ladakh trip. This 3-night mountains & hills package is built around Leh's real highlights, priced on enquiry and tailored to your dates — the day-by-day below is a flexible framework.

Questions
Package FAQs
How long do I need to acclimatise in Leh?
A full 24 hours of genuine rest, and preferably 48 before going higher. This is not a precaution we add to fill days — acute mountain sickness at 3,500 metres is common and occasionally serious.
When is the Manali–Leh road open?
Roughly June to October, depending on snow. Outside that window flying is the only option, and flights are weather-cancelled often enough that a tight onward connection is unwise.
Do I need permits in Ladakh?
Yes for Nubra, Pangong and other protected areas. Indian nationals need an Inner Line Permit; foreign nationals need a Protected Area Permit. We arrange both.
What makes this a mountains & hills package?
A hills-and-mountains holiday in Leh — scenic drives, viewpoints and cool mountain air, at a gentle pace. The theme shapes the pacing and the extras; the sights themselves are Leh's real highlights. Everything is customisable at quotation.
How is the price calculated?
On enquiry. We price your exact party, dates, hotel category and inclusions; a consultant replies within one working day and no payment is required for a quote.
How do we get there and get around?
Leh is served by Kushok Bakula Rimpochee (IXL), 4 km (rail: None — nearest is Jammu, 700 km). Local transfers and sightseeing are by private air-conditioned car; flights or trains can be added.
