Delhi is two cities pressed together and the day is arranged to show you both without exhausting you on arrival. The Mughal core — Jama Masjid and the lanes of Chandni Chowk — is best seen from a cycle-rickshaw, which reaches the spice market and the silver bazaars a car never could. The imperial New Delhi of Lutyens, all wide avenues and sandstone, is a deliberate contrast a few kilometres south.
If your flight lands late we simply move the sightseeing to the following morning — the itinerary is built to flex around real arrival times rather than pretend everyone lands at nine.

The morning drive down the highway is the easy part; the reward is arriving in Jaipur with the afternoon still ahead. We time the City Palace and Jantar Mantar for the second half of the day when the light softens, and keep Hawa Mahal for the golden hour, photographed from the rooftop café across the street rather than the pavement scrum below.
Distances and drive times here are approximate and traffic-dependent — we state them honestly so the day is planned around them, not surprised by them.

The single most important timing decision in Jaipur is Amber Fort at opening. At eight in the morning the ramp is quiet and cool; by eleven it is a queue in full sun. We build the whole day around that early start, then slow the pace right down for the bazaars — Johari for gemstones, Bapu for textiles and juttis — with someone who knows which lane sells what and what a fair price actually is.
Nahargarh at sunset is the unhurried end to the day, the whole grid of the Pink City laid out below as the lights come on.

This is the first of the two long desert legs, and it is genuinely a travelling day rather than a sightseeing one — which is exactly why we say so plainly. Breaking the drive at Pushkar, one of the very few Brahma temples anywhere, turns six hours in the car into a proper stop rather than a slog. Note that Pushkar is vegetarian and alcohol-free by custom.
You reach Jodhpur with the evening free for the clock-tower market, the blue city beginning to glow beneath Mehrangarh as the light goes.

Mehrangarh is, simply, the best fort museum in Rajasthan — rising straight out of the rock, genuinely well curated rather than a collection of dusty cases. The audio guide is unusually good and worth the extra hour. Jaswant Thada, a short walk away, is the quiet marble counterpoint.
The afternoon belongs to the blue city itself: the indigo-washed Brahmin houses below the ramparts, best walked in the softer light with a guide who can open the odd courtyard door and explain why the houses are blue in the first place.

The drive south to Udaipur is the prettiest of the three transfers, climbing gently into the Aravallis. Ranakpur, roughly halfway, is one of the most extraordinary Jain temples in India — 1,444 carved marble pillars, no two alike — and turns the journey into a highlight in its own right.
We time arrival so the first thing you do in Udaipur is the Lake Pichola boat at the hour the light is worth it, not the flat glare of midday. It is the right introduction to the city.

Udaipur rewards slowness, which is why it sits at the end of the trip. The City Palace is the largest in Rajasthan and best entered early from the Badi Pol before the day-trippers arrive; the old city below it is genuinely walkable, the shaded Saheliyon ki Bari a sensible refuge when the afternoon is warm.
The Monsoon Palace at sunset, high on its ridge over the Aravallis, is the last set-piece of the circuit — the drive up is half the pleasure.

Package FAQs
Is this package suitable for families and senior citizens?
Yes. The pace is moderate and the long drives are broken with stops. For seniors we can reduce fort walking, use golf-cart access at Amber where available, and add rest days. Tell us the party and we will adjust.
Can the itinerary be customised?
Completely. Add or drop a night, add Agra and the Taj Mahal at the start, swap a hotel category, upgrade the car, or add a cooking class or a village safari. This sample is the default; almost everything is configurable.
Are flights included?
No — the overland circuit is quoted on its own so you can book flights on your own dates and miles, or ask us to add the arrival (into Delhi) and departure (from Udaipur) flights to the quote.
Is transport included, and what kind of vehicle?
Yes — a private air-conditioned car with a driver for the whole circuit, including all tolls, parking and driver allowance. Vehicle size scales with your group.
Are monument entrance fees and guide charges included?

October to March for comfortable sightseeing. April to June is hot (40°C+) and cheaper; July to September is the green, low season. We will advise for your dates.
