Documents that work abroad
Get your documents accepted overseas.
Embassy attestation is the final stamp that lets an Indian document be trusted by authorities in a non-Hague country — for a job, a visa, a marriage or a degree. We run the whole state-to-embassy chain, so you do not stand in the queues.
What it is
The final
authentication
Embassy attestation is the last link in the legalisation chain: after your document is authenticated by the issuing state and then attested by the Ministry of External Affairs, the destination country’s embassy or consulate attests it too. Only then will that country’s authorities treat the document as genuine.
Who needs it
Four common
reasons
Employment abroad
Degree, diploma and experience certificates are commonly attested before a work visa or job offer in the Gulf and elsewhere is finalised.
Family & residence visas
Marriage and birth certificates are attested for dependent, spouse and residence visa applications.
Higher education
Degrees and transcripts are attested for admission and student visas at many foreign universities.
Business & trade
Commercial documents are attested to open a branch, sign a contract or trade with a partner in the destination country.
Documents
What we
attest
Each category is pre-authenticated by a different state authority before the MEA and embassy steps — which is why the route depends on the document.

Process
The chain,
in order
The exact route depends on the document and destination. We confirm the right chain for your case before we start — no wasted steps.
State authentication
The document is authenticated at the issuing state first — education department, Home department or SDM for personal documents, or a chamber of commerce for commercial ones.
MEA attestation
The Ministry of External Affairs attests the state-verified document, confirming the earlier authentication for international use.
Destination embassy
The embassy or consulate of the destination country attests the document so its own authorities will accept it.
Collection & return
We collect the attested documents, check every stamp against the file, and return them to you — or forward them where they need to go.
The service
How we run it
Timelines and fees depend on the document, the issuing state and the destination — so we quote them for your exact case rather than publish a number that may have moved. What stays the same is how we handle your originals: collected, tracked and returned with every stamp checked.
Processing time
Driven by the document type, whether state pre-authentication is needed, and the destination mission’s own queue. We give you a realistic, dated estimate for your specific documents before you commit — and flag anything that could extend it. We don’t promise a fixed number of days, because the authorities set that, not us.
Fees
Two parts: the government, embassy or chamber fee, as applicable, and our service fee. Both appear on a single written estimate, with no hidden charges, and you approve it before we begin. Statutory fees are set by the authority and can change; we confirm the current figure for your case.
Pickup & delivery
Doorstep document pickup and insured return across major Indian cities, and secure tracked courier elsewhere. Your original documents are logged at handover, so there is a clear record of what we hold from the moment they leave your hands until they are back in them.
Tracking
One named point of contact and a status update at each stage — state authentication, MEA, the destination embassy where required, and dispatch back to you. If a file stalls at a mission, we chase it and tell you where it stands.
Destination requirements
It depends
where it’s going
Requirements differ by destination country and, sometimes, by the specific mission. We confirm the exact list and order for your case before anything is submitted.
Gulf & Middle East
The most common embassy-attestation route — the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain each have their own requirements and, for some documents, an extra chamber or ministry step in the destination country.
Non-Hague countries elsewhere
Any destination outside the Hague Apostille Convention uses the embassy route. Which documents each mission wants, and in what form, varies — we confirm the exact list for your country before starting.
Hague members
If your destination is a Hague member (most of Europe, the UK, Australia and many others), you do not need embassy attestation at all — an apostille replaces it. See our Apostille service.
