Chandigarh travel guide & tour packages

Le Corbusier's planned city, and for most travellers a staging post on the way to or from Himachal rather than a destination. It is unusually easy to move around — wide roads, numbered sectors, very little of the congestion that defines other North Indian cities. The Rock Garden is genuinely worth an hour and is unlike anything else in the country. One night is the right amount, usually broken into a long drive.

Chandigarh FAQs

Is Chandigarh worth a night on its own?

Rarely as a destination, often as a break in a long drive to Himachal. It splits a punishing Delhi–Manali run into two reasonable days.

Can I visit the Capitol Complex?

Yes, but by guided tour only at set times, and you need photo ID. It cannot be visited independently.
